Embryo migration is defined as the movement of embryos to implant at the exact site in the endometrial cavity during assisted reproductive technology (ART). We aimed to evaluate the impact of embryo migration on clinical pregnancy (CPR) and live birth rates (LBR) in fresh oocyte donation (OD) cycles. A total of 611 fresh OD cycles was recruited in this prospective cohort study. All embryos were expulsed to upper-middle uterus between 10 and 20 mm from the fundus. Air bubble-fundus distance was measured using ultrasound (USG) at the time of embryo transfer (ET) and then 60 minutes after ET. Patients were divided into 3 groups; first group consisted of patients whose embryos migrated towards fundus, second group whose embryos remained between 10 and 20 mm from fundus and the third group including embryos which migrated towards cervix. There was no significant difference between the groups regarding CPR and LBR ( = 0.359 and = 0.865, respectively). Our study revealed that embryo migration was a fact and almost 22% of embryos migrated towards the fundus or the cervix. On the other hand, whether the embryo stayed static or migrated, CPR and LBR did not differ significantly in fresh OD cycles.

Studies have shown that circRNAs play an important regulatory role in trophoblast function and embryonic development. Based on sequencing and functional experiments, we found that hsa_circ_0069443 can regulate the function of trophoblast cells, and its presence is found in the exosomes secreted by trophoblast cells. It is known that exosomes mediate the interaction between the uterus and embryo, which is crucial for successful pregnancy.

Targeting tumor angiogenesis with safe endogenous protein inhibitors is a promising therapeutic approach despite the plethora of the first line of emerging chemotherapeutic drugs. The extracellular matrix network in the blood vessel basement membrane and growth factors released from endothelial and tumor cells promote the neovascularization which supports the tumor growth. Contrastingly, small cleaved cryptic fragments of the C-terminal non collagenous domains of the same basement membrane display antiangiogenic effect.

Background: Asthma is a prevalent respiratory disease, and its management remains largely unsatisfactory. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been demonstrated to be efficacious in reducing airway inflammation in experimental allergic diseases, representing a potential alternative treatment for asthma. Migrasomes are recently identified extracellular vesicles (EVs) generated in migrating cells and facilitate intercellular communication.

In developing tissues, the number, position, and differentiation of cells must be coordinately controlled to ensure the emergence of physiological function. The epidermis of the Xenopus embryo contains thousands of uniformly distributed multiciliated cells (MCCs), which grow hundreds of coordinately polarized cilia that beat vigorously to generate superficial water flow. Using this model, we uncovered a dual role for the conserved centriolar component Odf2, in MCC apical organization at the cell level, and in MCC spatial distribution at the tissue level.

Background: Hypertrophic scar (HS) is a severe skin fibrosis. Transplanting stem cells carrying anti-fibrotic cytokine genes, like interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), is a novel therapeutic strategy. Human amniotic epithelial cells (hAECs) are ideal seed cells and gene vectors.
