Endometriosis is a complex and heterogeneous condition affecting 10% of reproductive-age women, and yet, it often goes undiagnosed for several years. Limited observed heritability (7%) of large genetic association studies may be attributable to underlying heterogeneity of disease mechanisms. Therefore, we conducted this study to investigate genetic associations across sub-phenotypes of endometriosis. We performed unsupervised clustering of 4,078 women with endometriosis based on known endometriosis risk factors, symptoms, and concomitant conditions. The clusters were characterized by examining electronic health record (EHR) data and comprehensive chart reviews. We then performed genetic association for each cluster with 39 endometriosis-associated loci (Total N = 12,350). We identified five sub-phenotype clusters: (1) pain comorbidities, (2) uterine disorders, (3) pregnancy complications, (4) cardiometabolic comorbidities, and (5) HER-asymptomatic. Bonferroni significant loci included for the cluster 1, for cluster 2, for cluster 3, for cluster 4, and for cluster 5. The difference in associations between the groups suggests complex and varied genetic mechanisms of endometriosis and its symptoms. This study enhances our understanding of the clinical patterns of endometriosis sub-phenotypes, showcasing the innovative approach employed to investigate this complex disease.

Department of Pharmacodynamics and Toxicology, School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran.

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of some conditions such as high blood sugar, high blood triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, abdominal obesity, and high blood pressure. Introducing a drug or a food that manages the majority of these medical conditions is invaluable. Tinospora cordifolia, known as guduchi and giloy, is a medicinal herb in ayurvedic medicine that is used in the treatment of various diseased conditions and also as a food for the maintenance of health.

Objectives: To investigate whether baseline depressive symptoms impacted the effectiveness of an exercise intervention among (pre)frail older adults.

Methods: This is a subanalysis of a stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial implementing an exercise intervention, with an application of the integration of the Health Belief Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Health Action Process Approach, among 149 community-dwelling (pre)frail older adults. The intervention effectiveness was examined by baseline depressive symptoms (depressive symptoms ( = 40) and non-depressive symptoms ( = 109).

This two-phase study aims to develop the Turkish version of the German Eating Behavior Scale (SEV-Tr), and to investigate the potential associations of eating behaviors with nutritional and health status. In the first phase, the original scale was adapted to the Turkish language and its validity and reliability were assessed in 299 healthy individuals aged 19-64 years. In the second phase, the SEV-Tr was retested in a study population of 110 healthy individuals, aged 19-64 years, and the potential associations between the SEV-Tr score, anthropometrical and biochemical measurements, and other eating behaviors assessed by the Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ-Tr21) were examined.

Quantitative natural history modeling of HPDL-related disease based on cross-sectional data reveals genotype-phenotype correlations.

Movement Disorders Program, Department of Neurology and F.M. Kirby Neurobiology Center, Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Electronic address:

Objectives: Biallelic HPDL variants have been identified as the cause of a progressive childhood-onset movement disorder, with a broad clinical spectrum from severe neurodevelopmental disorder to juvenile-onset pure hereditary spastic paraplegia type 83. This study aims at delineating the geno- and phenotypic spectra of patients with HPDL-related disease, quantitatively modelling the natural history, and uncovering genotype-phenotype associations.

Methods: A cross-sectional analysis of 90 published and one novel case was performed, employing a Human Phenotype Ontology-based approach.

Background and Objective: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in Indonesia, where traditional herbal treatments like Zanthoxylum acanthopodium (andaliman) are culturally used. Investigating protein biomarkers such as E7, pRb, EGFR and p16 can help assess the efficacy of these treatments. Materials and Methods: There were 5 groups in this study: 2 control groups (C- and C+) and 3 treatment groups (each receiving one of three doses).
