Background: Anal fistula surgery often leads to postoperative pain, which can hinder recovery and negatively impact patients' quality of life. This prospective, randomised, controlled trial (RCT) aims to investigate the efficacy of acupuncture in alleviating postoperative pain and reducing the usage of analgesic medications following anal fistula surgery.
Methods: This single-centre, patient-blinded, assessor-blinded, placebo-controlled randomised controlled trial (RCT) will be conducted at a tertiary referral hospital.

Background: Low-profile double plating seems a viable alternative to conventional single plating for fixation of midshaft clavicle fractures. This study aims to compare the two techniques regarding healing, complications, and removal rate.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included all patients >16 years that underwent plate fixation for midshaft clavicle fractures between 2020 and 2022 at one trauma-center.

Many cell types are involved in the regulation of cutaneous wound healing in diabetes. Clarifying the mechanism of cell-cell interactions is important for identifying therapeutic targets for diabetic cutaneous ulcers. The function of vascular endothelial cells in the cutaneous microenvironment is critical, and a decrease in their biological function leads directly to refractory wound healing.

Drugs regulating hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α have not been investigated for wound healing in lymphedema. Therefore, we examined the effects of drug modulation of HIF-1α activity for wound healing in our previously developed mouse model of nonirradiated hind limb lymphedema. Mouse hind limb lymphedema models ( = 17) and a sham group ( = 6) were created using 8- to 10-week-old male C57BL/6N mice.
