is a known fish pathogen associated with numerous aquacultural outbreaks. In humans, primarily causes infective endocarditis, but infections involving other organs have also been reported. We report the first case of ruptured infectious intracranial aneurysm associated with bacteraemia without concomitant infective endocarditis. The diagnosis of a left distal posterior cerebral artery mycotic aneurysm was based on a computed tomography angiogram, catheter angiogram and histopathological examination of the resected aneurysm. Here, we review the literature on human infections and describe the clinical characteristics, risk factors, management and outcomes of the cases identified to date.

It is estimated that two billion people worldwide are infected with hepatitis B. In such cases, patients exposed to the virus may experience HBV-reactivation(HBVr), which is usually due to immunosuppression. It is not anticipated that spontaneous-HBVr will occur in the absence of immunosuppression in resolved HBV.

Purpose: Acute bacterial rhinosinusitis (ABRS) and acute otitis media (AOM) are common diseases in pediatric populations that rarely lead to intracranial infection and/or orbital complications. The incidence of these complications has increased in recent years and the main aim of this study is to analyze the tendency of this increase during the pandemic years, compared with the pre-pandemic era and to propose our management of ABRS and AOM.
Method: Clinical data from children, admitted to our hospital during the period from January 2018 to March 2024 with a diagnosis of complicated ABRS and AOM was collected.

This review proposes a categorization of meningeal diseases based on their predominant imaging characteristics.
