Assessing the impacts of forest cover change on carbon stock and soil moisture dynamics is critical for understanding environmental degradation and guiding sustainable land management. This study evaluates the effects of forest cover change on carbon stock and soil moisture dynamics in Nensebo Forest from 1993 to 2023 using geospatial techniques. Landsat imagery including TM (1993), ETM + (2009), and OLI/TIRS (2023) were used.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention created the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) for the purpose of allocating resources in times of emergency based on social determinants of health (SDOH). The purpose of this systematic review was to evaluate how the SVI tool has been applied in health care literature focused on health in the United States(US). A systematic literature review was conducted in 7 research databases with an 11-year time frame reflecting the launch of SVI, with the last search completed on September 29, 2022.

Background And Objectives: In the era of precision medicine, genetic test results have become increasingly relevant in the care of patients with Parkinson disease (PD). While large research consortia are performing widespread research genetic testing to accelerate discoveries, debate continues about whether, and to what extent, the results should be returned to patients. Ethically, it is imperative to keep participants informed, especially when findings are potentially actionable.

The elderly population in China faces a significant burden of influenza, but the influenza vaccination rate among this group remains far below international recommended standards due to factors such as the underdeveloped adult immunization service system, high vaccination costs, and insufficient awareness among both the elderly and healthcare professionals. It is recommended that China implement a free or reimbursement policy influenza vaccination for elderly in border regions, improve the adult immunization service system, enhance the awareness of healthcare professionals and the elderly, and strengthen the research and post-vaccination monitoring of vaccines tailored to the elderly population to increase the influenza vaccination rate among the elderly.
