Deep learning-based MRI reconstruction models have achieved superior performance these days. Most recently, diffusion models have shown remarkable performance in image generation, in-painting, super-resolution, image editing and more. As a generalized diffusion model, cold diffusion further broadens the scope and considers models built around arbitrary image transformations such as blurring, down-sampling, etc. In this paper, we propose a k-space cold diffusion model that performs image degradation and restoration in k-space without the need for Gaussian noise. We provide comparisons with multiple deep learning-based MRI reconstruction models and perform tests on a well-known large open-source MRI dataset. Our results show that this novel way of performing degradation can generate high-quality reconstruction images for accelerated MRI.

Traditional drying is a highly energy-intensive process, accounting for approximately 15% of total manufacturing cost, it often resulting in reduced product quality due to low drying efficiency. Biological and chemical agents, referred to as biochemical drying improvers, are employed as pretreatments to enhance both drying characteristics and quality attributes of fruits and vegetables. This article provides a thorough examination of various biochemical drying improvers (including enzymes, microorganisms, edible film coatings, ethanol, organic acids, hyperosmotic solutions, ethyl oleate alkaline solutions, sulfites, cold plasma, carbon dioxide, ozone, inorganic alkaline agents, and inorganic salts) and their effects on improving the drying processes of fruits and vegetables.

This study expands traditional reaction-diffusion models by incorporating hyperbolic dynamics to explore the effects of inertial delays on pattern formation. The kinetic system considers a harvested predator-prey model where predator and prey populations gather in herds. Diffusion and inertial effects are subsequently introduced.

This study introduces a novel method to investigate in situ light transport within optically thick ensembles of cold atoms, exploiting the internal structure of alkaline-earth metals. A method for creating an optical excitation at the center of a large atomic cloud is demonstrated, and we observe its propagation through multiple scattering events. In conditions where the cloud size is significantly larger than the transport mean free path, a diffusive regime is identified.

Introduction: Primary bone marrow diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a rare clinical entity, and the "bone marrow-liver-spleen" type of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is rarer, with only a few published cases in literature. Though bone marrow-liver-spleen-type diffuse large B-cell lymphoma has unique presentations such as fever, cytopenias, and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, no cases with cold autoimmune hemolytic anemia have been reported.
Case Presentation: A 39-year-old Sri Lankan woman, previously healthy, presented with shortness of breath, productive cough, and fever for 4 days.

Hempseed oil (HSO) is extremely rich in unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic (18:2 n-6) and α-linolenic (18:3 n-3) acids, which determine its high sensitivity to oxidative and photo-oxidative degradations that can lead to rancidity despite the presence of antioxidant compounds. The aim of this work was to evaluate which material/temperature/light solutions better preserve HSO quality during its shelf life and to test NIR as a rapid, non-destructive technique for monitoring oxidation phenomena. Futura 75 hemp seeds were cold-pressed; the oil was packed into 20 mL vials of four different materials (polypropylene, clear glass, amber glass, and amber glass coated with aluminum foil) and stored for 270 days at 25 °C under diffused light and at 10 °C in dark conditions.
