Objective: This cross-sectional study evaluated associations between sleep disorders, pain, bruxism, and chronotypes in patients with trigeminal neuralgia (TN) or post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in orofacial area.
Methods: Ninety-four subjects (25 TN, 14 PHN, 55 controls) were evaluated for pain, sleep, chronotype, anxiety, depression, oral behaviors, and lifestyle by validated instruments. Bruxism was assessed by self-report.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a frequently observed condition, with about 70% of individuals diagnosed with ADHD experiencing irregular sleep-wake patterns. Beyond the primary symptoms of ADHD, there is a significant overlap with sleep-related issues, indicating that disrupted sleep patterns may exacerbate ADHD symptoms. ADHD-related sleep problems can be traced to a delayed circadian rhythm and a later onset of melatonin production.

Endometriosis affects about 10% of women of reproductive age, leading to a disabling gynecologic condition. Chronic pain, inflammation, and oxidative stress have been identified as the molecular pathways involved in the progression of this disease, although its precise etiology remains uncertain. Although mitochondria are considered crucial organelles for cellular activity, their dysfunction has been linked to the development of this disease.

Introduction: Freezing of gait (FOG) is a disabling symptom that affects over half of Parkinson's disease patients (PD) and hinders the ability to walk. Subthalamic nucleus (STN) deep brain stimulation (DBS) effectiveness in ameliorating the FOG remains controversial, lacking a reliable electrophysiological biomarker from local field potentials (LFP).
Methods: The LFP-STN rhythms bandpower and dynamics were characterized at rest across groups in a cohort of 23 patients (14 with FOG, and 9 without, n-FOG).
