Urban rail transport is an important part of transport infrastructure, which is significant in empowering green-oriented urban development. This paper uses Chinese data of 281 prefecture-level cities from 2008 to 2021 to explore the influence and mechanism of subway opening on urban green total factor productivity (GTFP) through the difference-in-differences (DID) and double dual machine learning (DDML) methods.

Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are highly versatile nanomaterials in nanomedicine, owing to their diverse magnetic properties, which can be tailored through variations in size, shape, composition, and exposure to inductive magnetic fields. Over four decades of research have led to the clinical approval or ongoing trials of several MNP formulations, fueling continued innovation. Beyond traditional applications in drug delivery, imaging, and cancer hyperthermia, MNPs have increasingly advanced into molecular medicine.

Optogenetics, an innovative approach integrating photonics and genetic engineering, enables precise control over molecular and cellular processes, opening up exciting new opportunities for precision-guided medicine. In this review, we highlight recent advances in optogenetic tools and their applications across a range of medical conditions, including vision restoration in retinitis pigmentosa via light-activated ion channels, precise immune response modulation in cancer immunotherapy, and blood glucose management in diabetes through controllable drug release. Optogenetics also plays a critical role in bioelectronic medicine, enabling seamless communication between electronic systems and biological tissues to enhance therapeutic precision.
