A major challenge in contemporary electronic structure theory involves the development of methods to describe in a balanced manner the contribution of correlation effects to energy differences. This challenge can be even greater for multicomponent systems containing more than one type of quantum particle. In the present work, we describe a flexible code for carrying out self-consistent field and configuration interaction (CI) calculations on multicomponent systems and use it to generate trial wave functions for use in diffusion Monte Carlo (DMC) calculations of the positron affinity of Be, Be, Be, Mg, CS, and benzene. The resulting positron affinities (PAs) are in good agreement with the best values from the literature.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the correlation between prevalent risk factors for high-risk neonates in neonatal intensive care unit and their hearing loss, and to examine the audiological features and genetic profiles associated with different deafness mutations in our tertiary referral center. This research seeks to deepen our understanding of the etiology behind congenital hearing loss.
Methods: We conducted initial hearing screenings, including automated auditory brainstem response, distortion product otoacoustic emission, and acoustic immittance on 443 high-risk neonates within 7 days after birth and 42 days (if necessary) after birth.

Aims And Objectives: This study aimed to explore the relationship between HERC6- associated immune response and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and to screen drug candidates for novel treatments.
Materials And Methods: Mendelian Randomization (MR) was performed to test the relationship between a genetically predicted increase in HERC6 expression and the development of NAFLD. A single-cell RNA-seq profile of liver tissue with histological characteristics (GSE168933) was obtained.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a case-based reasoning (CBR) system in predicting the design of definitive obturator prostheses for maxillectomy patients.
Materials And Methods: Data from 209 maxillectomy cases, including extraoral images of obturator prostheses and occlusal images of maxillectomy defects, were collected from Institute of Science Tokyo Hospital. These cases were organized into a structured database using Python's pandas library.

Assistive technology (AT) professionals are in pressing need with nowadays growing aged/disabled population, so as well-designed higher education programs in this field. This study designed and implemented a case-based active learning approach within an undergraduate course related to AT in Hong Kong, and assessed its impact on enhancing student engagement over two academic years. A total of twelve multimedia patient case dossiers on six major physical disabilities were created.

Spirituality is widely recognized as a potential moderator of the adverse effects of hemodialysis on mental health. Understanding its impact on mental health in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, however, remains a significant research gap. Hence, this study aims to explore the correlations between spirituality, anxiety, and depression among Saudi Arabian patients undergoing hemodialysis.
