Introduction: Adolescence and early adulthood are recognized as the most vulnerable periods for smoking initiation in India. This is likely due to the increased freedom that young adults have to experiment with different identities and behaviors.
Objective: To explore the background of smoking initiation, understand the motivators and barriers to quitting smoking, and assess university students' perceptions and knowledge of Tobacco Cessation Centers (TCCs).

Owing to the vital role played by dentists in patient education and due to the growing popularity of e-cigarette use among the younger population, this cross-sectional study aimed to assess the use, knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes toward e-cigarettes among dental students. A cross-sectional questionnaire was given between March and June of 2024 to undergraduate dental students in the Faculty of Dentistry at the Arab American University in Palestine. A 32-item questionnaire with five sections, namely demographics, smoking habits, knowledge, beliefs and attitude, and education about e-cigarettes was sent to all appropriate participants (N = 1050).

Aims: Over the recent decades, smoking among women has become an increasingly pressing public health challenge. Mounting evidence suggests that, compared to men, women's smoking is more strongly influenced by habitual responses to sensorimotor cues. To understand the brain mechanisms underlying the cessation challenges commonly reported by women who smoke, the present study used voxel-based morphometry (VBM) to investigate sex-related volumetric differences in the dorsal striatum, a region implicated in habitual substance use behavior, and their associations with self-reported quit interest among daily smoking adults.

Background: A few studies have examined psychological resilience as a predictor of physiological responses to acute stress; however, no studies have directly examined psychological resilience as a moderator of subjective responses to acute stress.
Methods: Adults were recruited to participate in an acute stress response study that was conducted remotely. Demographics, psychological resilience, nicotine use and desire to quit, and information related to cannabis use were measured during a medical screening session.

FA may also be associated with obesity. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of FA in urban and rural areas, and the proportion of obesity in young adults with FA.
