The photocatalytic efficiency of TiO has been opposed by the fast recombination speed of photogenerated carriers. Here, g-CN -modified sulfate-built-in TiO quantum dots (ST-QDs) were successfully created using a simple ultrasonication-thermal procedure. g-CN-enrapped ST QDs with a 10 nm size were revealed by the characterization results.

Background And Objectives: Assessing treatment response in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) tumors necessitates developing more objective and quantitative approaches. A machine learning-based approach is presented in this exploratory study for GBM patients' treatment response assessment based on radiomics extracted from magnetic resonance (MR) images.
Methods: MR images from 77 GBM patients were acquired at two post-surgery stages and preprocessed.

DNA methylation is an essential epigenetic mechanism for regulation of gene expression, through which many physiological (X-chromosome inactivation, genetic imprinting, chromatin structure and miRNA regulation, genome defense, silencing of transposable elements) and pathological processes (cancer and repetitive sequences-associated diseases) are regulated. Nanopore sequencing has emerged as a novel technique that can analyze long strands of DNA (long-read sequencing) without chemically treating the DNA. Interestingly, nanopore sequencing can also extract epigenetic status of the nucleotides (including both 5-Methylcytosine and 5-hydroxyMethylcytosine), and a large variety of bioinformatic tools have been developed for improving its detection properties.
