Background: Substance use may be associated with the onset of psychotic symptoms, necessitating treatment for individuals with comorbid mental health and substance use disorders (MHD/SUD). Changes in drug availability and prices during the pandemic may have influenced drug consumption.

The aim of this article is to provide an historical overview of the scientific activities of the Chair since its inception. The Covid-19 pandemic lockdown had a profound impact on British young adults' drug using lives. Overnight, participants found themselves unable to access the protective mechanisms, specifically peer groups and routines on which they had come to rely to control and maintain pleasure with their drug use. The resulting analysis from online semi-structured qualitative interviews with 14 young people exposes a trend in drug use patterns.

Background: As classic psychedelics' therapeutic potential is studied and their popularity continues to rise, it is important to establish their relative risks and benefits. Previous surveys have tended to use convenience sampling on social media, select participants who have had either extremely positive or negative effects, and have not compared the risk/benefit profile of psychedelics to other substances.
Aims: To address these limitations, we gathered samples from an opt-in panel service using quota-based sampling to approximate demographics representing US Census data, did not pre-specify positive or negative experiences, and compared experiences with psychedelics to those with cannabis.
Unlabelled: Maternal immune activation (MIA) commonly arises in response to an infection during pregnancy. MIA elevates cytokine levels, triggering an inflammatory cascade, which may be detrimental to the developing nervous system. Similarly, cannabis use and exposure of the fetus to cannabinoids during pregnancy (PCE) may elicit neuroinflammation and lead to detrimental behavioral outcomes.
