The first report of star poly(L-proline) crosslinkers is disclosed for digital light processing 3D printing of thermoresponsive hydrogels. Through chain end functionalization of star poly(L-proline)s with methacryloyl groups, access to high-resolution defined 3D hydrogel structures via digital light processing is achieved through photoinitiated free radical polymerization. Changing the poly(L-proline) molecular weight has a direct influence on both thermoresponsiveness and printability, while shape-morphing behavior can be induced thermally.

Background: Intimate partner violence (IPV) and violence against children are global issues with severe consequences. Intersections shared by the 2 forms of violence have led to calls for joint programming efforts to prevent both IPV and violence against children. Parenting programs have been identified as a key entry point for addressing multiple forms of family violence.

Background: Alzheimer's Disease(AD) patients experience circadian rhythm disorder. The circadian rhythm is synchronized by a master clock, the suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCN), which is spatially well-conserved but a tiny nucleus in the hypothalamus. Little is known about the molecular and pathological changes that occur in the SCN during AD progression.

Background: We recently found region-specific patterns of iron-rich gliosis in frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) groups with tau (FTLD-Tau; PSP) and TDP-43 (FTLD-TDP) pathology using iron-sensitive MRI of whole-hemispheres. These patterns largely corresponded to regions of early pathology reported in previous traditional histopathologic staging schemes of protein inclusions for FTLD-Tau and FTLD-TDP. Ferritin light chain (FLC) reactivity highlights activated glia but has not been studied extensively in FTLD.

Schemes of classical shadows have been developed to facilitate the readout of digital quantum devices, but similar tools for analog quantum simulators are scarce and experimentally impractical. In this Letter, we provide a measurement scheme for fermionic quantum devices that estimates second and fourth order correlation functions by means of free fermionic, translationally invariant evolutions-or quenches-and measurements in the mode occupation number basis. We precisely characterize what correlation functions can be recovered and equip the estimates with rigorous bounds on sample complexities, a particularly important feature in light of the difficulty of getting good statistics in reasonable experimental platforms, with measurements being slow.

Easily accessible through tabletop experiments, paraxial fluids of light are emerging as promising platforms for the simulation and exploration of quantumlike phenomena. In particular, the analogy builds on a formal equivalence between the governing model for a Bose-Einstein condensate under the mean-field approximation and the model of laser propagation inside nonlinear optical media under the paraxial approximation. Yet, the fact that the role of time is played by the propagation distance in the analog system imposes strong bounds on the range of accessible phenomena due to the limited length of the nonlinear medium.
