Electroceuticals, through the selective modulation of peripheral nerves near target organs, are promising for treating refractory diseases. However, the small sizes and the delicate nature of these nerves present challenges in simplifying the fixation and stabilizing the electrical-coupling interface for neural electrodes. Herein, we construct a robust neural interface for fine peripheral nerves using an injectable bio-adhesive hydrogel bioelectronics. By incorporating a multifunctional molecular regulator during network formation, we optimize the injectability and conductivity of the hydrogel through fine-tuning reaction kinetics and multi-scale interactions within the conductive network. Meanwhile, the mechanical and electrical stability of the hydrogel is achieved without compromising its injectability. Minimal tissue damage along with low and stable impedance of the injectable neural interface enables chronic vagus neuromodulation for myocardial infarction therapy in the male rat model. Our highly-stable, injectable, conductive hydrogel bioelectronics are readily available to target challenging anatomical locations, paving the way for future precision bioelectronic medicine.

is a widely distributed nosocomial pathogen that causes various acute and chronic infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients. In this study, the activities of the K9-specific virulent phage AM24 and phage-encoded depolymerase DepAPK09 were assessed using in vivo mouse sepsis and burn skin infection models. In the mouse sepsis model, in the case of prevention or early treatment, a single K9-specific phage or recombinant depolymerase injection was able to protect 100% of the mice after parenteral infection with a lethal dose of of the K9-type, with complete eradication of the pathogen.

Collagenases are enzymes that break down collagen and are used in wound healing and treating various disorders. Currently, collagenase is commercially available in only ointment and injectable forms and is sensitive to various environmental factors. In the present study, different hydrogel formulations of collagenase have been prepared at pH 6.

Flow injection mass spectrometry (FI-MS) is widely employed for high-throughput metabolome analysis, yet the absence of prior separation leads to significant matrix effects, thereby limiting the metabolome coverage. In this study, we introduce a novel photosensitive MS probe, iTASO-ONH, integrated with FI-MS to establish a high-throughput strategy for submetabolome analyses. The iTASO probe features a conjugated-imino sulfonate moiety for efficient photolysis under 365 nm irradiation and a reactive group for selective metabolite labeling.

Background/objectives: This study aimed to develop a novel nanotechnological slow-release drug delivery platform based on hyaluronic acid Microsponge (MSP) for the subcutaneous administration of methotrexate (MTX) in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RA is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by joint inflammation and damage, while MTX is a common disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD), the conventional use of which is limited by adverse effects and the lack of release control.
Methods: MSP were synthesized as freeze-dried powder to increase their stability and allow for a facile reconstitution prior to administration and precise MTX dosing.

By employing the stabilizer in the supersonic gas nozzle to produce the plasma density profile with a sharp downramp, we have experimentally demonstrated highly stable electron beam acceleration based on the shock injection mechanism in laser wakefield acceleration with the use of a compact Ti:sapphire laser. A quasi-monoenergetic electron beam with a peak energy of 315 MeV ± 12.5 MeV per shot is generated.
