Purpose: Stage IV ovarian cancer is a tumor with a poor prognosis and lacks prognostic models. This study constructed and validated a model to predict overall survival (OS) in patients with newly diagnosed stage IV ovarian cancer.
Methods: The data of this study were extracted from SEER database. Cox regression analysis was used to construct the nomogram model and implemented it in an online web application. Concordance index (C-index), calibration curve, area under receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to verify the performance of the model.
Results: A total of 6062 patients were collected in this study. The analysis showed that age, race, histological grade, histological differentiation, T stage, CA125, liver metastasis, primary site surgery, and chemotherapy were independent prognostic parameters, and were used to construct the nomogram model. The C-index of the training group and the verification group was 0.704 and 0.711, respectively. Based on the score of the nomogram responding risk classification system is constructed. The online interface of Alfalfa-IVOC-OS is free to use. In addition, the racial analysis found that Asian or Pacific Islander people had higher survival rates than white and black people.
Conclusion: This study established a new survival prediction model and risk classification system designed to predict OS time in patients with stage IV ovarian cancer to help clinicians evaluate the prognosis of patients with stage IV ovarian cancer.

Background: Adult-type granulosa cell tumors are a rare form of ovarian cancer, 30% of which will recur. Cytoreductive surgery is often performed at the time of a first recurrence, but little is known about the impact of open versus minimally invasive surgical approaches on survival outcomes.
Objective: To examine associations between surgical approach, clinical variables, and survival outcomes among patients with adult-type granulosa cell tumors who underwent cytoreductive surgery at the time of first recurrence.

Objectives: To assess the recurrence rate and quality of life (QOL) in women with a history of borderline ovarian tumours (BOTs) based on the type of surgery (conservative vs non-conservative) in Spain.
Study Design: A retrospective analysis was conducted of 85 women treated for BOTs between 2007 and 2023 at two hospitals. QOL questionnaires were administered face-to-face to eligible patients.

Objective: To investigate the factors influencing recurrence following laparoscopic conservative surgery in patients with ovarian endometriosis (OEM) and to develop a predictive model.
Methods: In this retrospective study, the clinical data from 212 OEM patients who underwent laparoscopic conservative surgery at Suzhou Ninth People's Hospital from May 2013 to December 2021 were meticulously reviewed. According to disease recurrence over a 2-year follow-up period, the patients were divided into a recurrence group and a non-recurrence group.

Hormones control normal breast development and function. They also impinge on breast cancer (BC) development and disease progression in direct and indirect ways. The major ovarian hormones, estrogens and progesterone, have long been established as key regulators of mammary gland development in rodents and linked to human disease.

BACKGROUND Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the cervix is rare and has high mortality and recurrence rates. The clinical symptoms of cervical NEC, such as abnormal vaginal bleeding and discharge, are similar to those of other cervical cancers. Here, we describe a case involving a 42-year-old woman with cervical NEC accompanied by an isolated large ovarian metastasis.
