Background: Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people seek gender-affirming care at any age to manage gender identities or expressions that differ from their birth gender. Gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT) and gender-affirming surgery may alter reproductive function and/or anatomy, limiting future reproductive options to varying degrees, if individuals desire to either give birth or become a biological parent.
Objective And Rationale: TGD people increasingly pursue help for their reproductive questions, including fertility, fertility preservation, active desire for children, and future options.

Purpose: Treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD) in the region below the knee (BTK) is dissatisfying as failure of treated target lesions (TLF) is frequent and diagnostic imaging is often challenging. In the BTK-region metallic drug-eluting stents (mDES) yielded best results concerning primary patency (PP), but also annihilate signal in magnetic resonance angiography (MR-A). A recently introduced non-metallic drug eluting bioresorbable Tyrocore® vascular scaffold (deBVS), that offers an option for re-treatment of lesions due to its full degradation within 3-4 years after placement, was investigated with respect to its compatibility with MR-A to unimpededly depict previously treated target lesions.

Introduction: The efficacy, safety, optimal timing, and urate-lowering effects of surgical interventions in gout management remain poorly understood. This study aims to fill this gap by evaluating the role of surgery in treating gout patients with tophi.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 28 gout patients presenting with tophi.

Some unique asexual species persist over time and contradict the consensus that sex is a prerequisite for long-term evolutionary survival. How they escape the dead-end fate remains enigmatic. Here, we generated a haplotype-resolved genome assembly on the basis of a single individual and collected genomic data from worldwide populations of the parthenogenetic diploid oribatid mite to identify signatures of persistence without sex.

Background: Patients with haematologic malignancies are at increased risk of developing skin cancer and often experience worse skin cancer-related outcomes. However, there is a lack of nationwide, population-based data with long-term follow-up on the incidence and risks of different skin cancer types across all haematologic malignancies.
Objectives: To assess population-based risk estimates for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC), malignant melanoma (MM), Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC), and basal cell carcinoma (BCC) among patients with haematologic malignancies, stratified by skin cancer type and haematologic malignancy subgroup.
