Dual-band photodetectors (PDs) have attracted extensive research attention due to their great potential for diverse and refreshing application scenarios in full-color imaging, optical communication, and imaging detection. Here, a self-driven dual-band PD without filters and other auxiliary equipment to achieve a narrowband response in Mode 1 and a broadband response in Mode 2 was designed based on carrier-selective transmission narrowing (CSTN). The polymer material poly[bis(4-phenyl)(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)amine] (PTAA), which has the appropriate energy level, was selected to be the carrier-selective transmission layer. In Mode 1, the dual-band PD exhibits a near-infrared (NIR) narrowband response in 750-900 nm, which indicates a responsivity of 360 mA/W, a full-width at half-maximum (fwhm) of 81 nm, and a specific detectivity (*) of 7.49 × 10 Jones at 810 nm. Simultaneously, in Mode 2, the dual-band PD exhibits a UV-visible-NIR broadband responsivity of 180 mA/W and a specific detectivity (*) of 3.8 × 10 Jones at 520 nm. Our study provides a reliable idea for the commercial applications of dual-function photodetectors.

This study examines the three-axis vibration isolation capabilities of a full-scale magnetorheological (MR) seat suspension system utilizing experimental methods to assess performance under both single-axis and simultaneous three-axis input conditions. To achieve this, a semi-active MR seat damper was designed and manufactured to address excitations in all three axes. The damper effectiveness was tested experimentally for axial and lateral motions, focusing on dynamic stiffness and loss factor using an MTS machine.

The core advantage of metalenses over traditional bulky lenses lies in their thin volume and lightweight. Nevertheless, as the application scenarios of metalenses extend to the macro-scale optical imaging field, a contradiction arises between the increasing demand for large-aperture metalenses and the synchronous rise in design and processing costs. In response to the application requirements of metalens with diameter reaching the order of 10λ or even 10λ, this paper proposes a novel design method for fixed-height concentric-ring metalenses, wherein, under the constraints of the processing technology, a subwavelength 2D building unit library is constructed based on different topological structures, and the overall cross-section of the metalens is assembled.

Prepulse inhibition (PPI) refers to the phenomenon in which a weak sensory stimulus before a strong one significantly reduces the startle reflex caused by the strong stimulus. Perceptual spatial separation, a phenomenon where auditory cues from the prepulse and background noise are distinguished in space, has been shown to enhance PPI. This study aims to investigate the neural modulation mechanisms of PPI by the spatial separation between the prepulse stimulus and background noise, particularly in the deep superior colliculus (deepSC).

Background: Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disease manifested by depigmented patches of skin devoid of melanocytes. Baricitinib, a JAK inhibitor selectively targeting JAK1/2, has shown preliminary efficacy for vitiligo. We aimed to assess the efficacy and tolerability of combination therapy with baricitinib and narrowband UV-B (NB-UVB) to treat active nonsegmental vitiligo (NSV).

Background: Ritlecitinib demonstrated efficacy in a phase 2b trial of nonsegmental vitiligo.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of ritlecitinib with add-on narrow-band UVB (nbUVB) phototherapy in patients with nonsegmental vitiligo.
Methods: Following a 24-week, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging period, patients received ritlecitinib 200mg for 4 weeks then 50mg for 20 weeks, with or without nbUVB phototherapy 2x/week.
