Much research has noted people's tendency toward extremity. This work has made it clear that some people prefer to hold extreme views and might leave the impression that when biases and preferences occur, they primarily favor extremity. In contrast, in the present work, we examine the possibility that some people prefer attitudinal neutrality across two pretesting samples, three main studies, and two supplementary studies ( = 1,873).

Access of drugs to the central nervous system is limited by the blood-brain barrier, and this in turn affects drug efficacy/toxicity. To date, most drug discovery optimization paradigms have relied heavily on in vitro transporter assays and preclinical species pharmacokinetic evaluation to provide a qualitative assessment of human brain penetration. Because of the lack of human brain pharmacokinetic data, mechanistic models for preclinical species, combined with in vitro and in silico data, are useful for translation to human.

Solidarity is one of the emerging values in global health ethics, and a few pieces of bioethics literature link it to decoloniality. However, conceptions of solidarity in global health ethics are influenced primarily by Western perspectives, thus suggesting the decolonial needs to include non-Western perspectives. This article explores a decolonial interpretation of solidarity to enrich our understanding of solidarity.

Various behavioral health crisis models have been developed to advance the shared goals of improving behavioral health outcomes and increasing diversion from criminal legal systems. The effectiveness of these models is promising, yet research is needed to understand their comparative advantages. This study compares the effectiveness of three community mental health response models-co-response, mobile response, and office-based response-and law enforcement-only response in addressing key behavioral health and diversion goals.
