Introduction: Presbyopia, difficulty in seeing close-ups, affects a billion people globally. Mobile financial services (MFS) have been mandated since January 2021 for Bangladesh government social safety net payments, including old age allowance (OAA) and widow allowance (WA). We report the protocol for the Transforming Households with Refraction and Innovative Financial Technology randomised trial assessing the impact on the use of online banking of providing presbyopic safety net beneficiaries with reading glasses, and brief smartphone and mobile banking app training.

Barium fluoride borosilicate glass samples reinforced with varying amounts of GdO (BSBLG0-BSBLG4) have been manufactured using the conventional melt quenching procedure in order to provide additional research on the type of borosilicate glass. Structural, physical, and linear optical characteristics as well as γ-ray attenuation capacity of barium fluoride borosilicate doped with GdO was investigated. X-ray diffraction pattern proving the amorphous nature of the glass samples due to the absence of a distinctive crystalline characteristic peak.

Amiodarone, a widely used antiarrhythmic medication, is effective for managing various types of cardiac arrhythmias. However, due to its high lipid solubility and long half-life, amiodarone accumulates in various organs, particularly the lungs. Pulmonary toxicity, while rare (1% to 5% incidence), is among the most serious adverse effects of amiodarone, with interstitial pneumonitis (IP) being the most prevalent form of lung toxicity.

We conduct experiments on a class of two-dimensional semiwet foams generated through compressing a three-dimensional soap foam between two glass plates. To induce a spatially uniform rupturing process on foam boundaries, an additional plate is heated and placed on top of the unheated plates. For 30 separate foam samples, we record network statistics related to cell side numbers and areas as the foam coarsens over a half-minute.

The increasing complexity and production volume of glass-fiber-reinforced polymers (GFRP) present significant recycling challenges. This paper explores a potential use for mechanically recycled GFRP by blending it with high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This composite could be applied in products such as terrace boards, pipes, or fence posts, or as a substitute filler for wood flour and chalk.
