Article Abstract

Two new species, Macropelopia (Macropelopia) excavata Xu & Fu, and Macropelopia (Macropelopia) quadrimacula Xu & Fu, , are described as male adults. A key to identify the males of from China is provided. Furthermore, in order to ascertain the genetic distance between these species and their morphological characteristics, mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene sequences were uploaded to the National Center for Biotechnology Information. These COI sequences were then utilized to infer the relationships between the species, employing the neighbor-joining method.
