the evolution of axillary management in breast cancer has witnessed significant changes in recent decades, leading to an overall reduction in surgical interventions. There have been notable shifts in practice, aiming to minimize morbidity while maintaining oncologic outcomes and accurate staging for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. These advancements have been facilitated by the improved efficacy of adjuvant therapies.

Patients with recurrent high-grade glioma (rHGG) have a poor prognosis with median progression-free survival (PFS) of <7 months. Responses to treatment are heterogenous, suggesting a clinical need for prognostic models. Bayesian data analysis can exploit individual patient follow-up imaging studies to adaptively predict the risk of progression.

Background: Anxiety disorders are common in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment patients. Such co-occurring conditions ("comorbidity") have negative prognostic implications for AUD treatment outcomes, yet they commonly go unaddressed in standard AUD care. Over a decade ago, we developed and validated a cognitive behavioral therapy intervention to supplement standard AUD care that, when delivered by trained therapists, improves outcomes in comorbid patients.

Introduction/aims: A previous randomized controlled trial showed that guided self-help acceptance and commitment therapy plus standard medical care (ACT+SMC) was superior to standard medical care alone (SMC) for improving quality of life (QoL) and mood at 9-weeks post randomization in a sample of people with muscle disorders (MD). This follow-up study evaluated whether these effects were maintained in the longer term alongside individual patterns of response.
Methods: The original study was a two-arm parallel group randomized controlled trial, which compared ACT+SMC to SMC.

Background: Teledentistry can improve access to care, but children's acceptance of different imaging techniques is underexplored.
Aim: The aim of this study was to assess children's acceptance of intraoral cameras and smartphones for caries detection.
Design: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in rural Egyptian nurseries, with children aged ≤ 6 years randomized into intraoral camera or smartphone groups.
