Aging is a major risk factor for a variety of diseases, thus, translation of aging research into practical applications is driven by the unmet need for existing clinical therapeutic options. Basic and translational research efforts are converging at a critical stage, yielding insights into how fundamental aging mechanisms are used to identify promising geroprotectors or therapeutics. This review highlights several research areas from a clinical perspective, including senescent cell targeting, alleviation of inflammaging, and optimization of metabolism with endogenous metabolites or precursors. Refining our understanding of these key areas, especially from the clinical angle, may help us to better understand and attenuate aging processes and improve overall health outcomes.

Introduction: Prostate cancer represents a significant oncological challenge, with its natural history predominantly driven by androgen receptor (AR) signaling. The pivotal role of this pathway underscores the rationale for targeting AR activity in therapeutic strategies. However, the development of resistance mechanisms has highlighted the need for advanced therapies to address the complexity of the castration-resistant status.

General practice-based care for Australian children is facing low levels of clinical guideline adherence particularly in three key areas: asthma, type 1 diabetes and antibiotic use. We offer an implementation science-informed position paper, providing a broad overview of how we aim to address this issue. This is the co-designed National Paediatric Applied Research Translation Initiative (N-PARTI), a bespoke, three-phased research solution by deploying mixed methods, simulation and scale-up of evidence into practice.

Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) has shown immense potential in the field of medicine, but its actual effectiveness and safety still need to be validated through clinical trials. Currently, the research themes, methodologies, and development trends of AI-related clinical trials remain unclear, and further exploration of these studies will be crucial for uncovering AI's practical application potential and promoting its broader adoption in clinical settings.
Objective: To analyze the current status, hotspots, and trends of published clinical research on AI applications.

Background And Objectives: Venous-Arterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (VA-ECMO) is a pivotal means for rapid cardiopulmonary support, yet it may result in lower limb ischemia. This study aims to explore the high-risk factors for lower limb ischemia following VA-ECMO.
Methods: 117 patients who received VA-ECMO treatment at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were divided into lower limb ischemia group and non ischemia group for case-control analysis.
Physicians evaluate a patient's respiratory health during a physical examination by visual assessment of the work of breathing (WoB) to determine respiratory stability, and by detecting abnormal lung sounds via lung auscultation using a stethoscope to identify common pathological lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pneumonia. Since these assessment methods are subjective, a low-profile device used for an accurate and quantitative monitoring approach could provide valuable preemptive insights into respiratory health, proving to be clinically beneficial. To achieve this goal, we have developed a miniature patch consisting of a sensitive wideband multi-axis seismometer that can be placed on the anatomical areas of a patient's lungs to enable an effective quantification of a patient's WoB and lung sounds.
