Following the publication of this paper, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that certain of the immunofluorescence assay data shown in Fig. 4A on p. 1698 were strikingly similar to data that had already been submitted for publication in different form in another article written by different authors at different research institutes. In addition, there was an instance of apparent duplication of western blot data comparing between Fig. 5A and 5G, and the reader also had concerns regarding the presentation of the flow‑cytometry cell‑count histograms in Fig. 2A. Owing to the fact that the contentious data in the above article had already been submitted for publication elsewhere prior to its submission to Molecular Medicine Reports, the Editor has decided that this paper should be retracted from the Journal. The authors were asked for an explanation to account for these concerns, but the Editorial Office did not receive a reply. The Editor apologizes to the readership for any inconvenience caused. Delirium is a neuropsychiatric syndrome commonly presenting during acute illness. The pathophysiology of delirium is unknown, but neuroinflammation is suggested to play a role. In this cross-sectional study, we aimed to investigate whether cell-free DNA and markers of neutrophil extracellular traps in serum and CSF were associated with delirium and neuronal damage, assessed by neurofilament light chain.

Introduction: People with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) experience a wide range of motor and non-motor symptoms that have a significant impact on their health and quality of life. Effective care management for PwPD involves monitoring symptoms at home, involving specialised multidisciplinary care providers and enhancing self-management skills. This study protocol describes the process evaluation within a randomised clinical trial to assess the implementation and its impact on patient health outcomes of ParkProReakt-a proactive, multidisciplinary, digitally supported care model for community-dwelling PwPD.

Decades later, she presented with exertional dyspnea.

Introduction The study aimed to retrospectively evaluate the early patient outcome and left ventricular function after mitral valve replacement with a tilting disc valve and total preservation. Patients and methods This retrospective observational study includes patients who underwent mitral valve replacement using a tilting disc valve with total preservation of mitral valvular and subvalvular apparatus from July 2021 to August 2022 at a single center. Results The data were reviewed retrospectively for age, sex, comorbidities, operating time, aortic cross-clamp time, cardiopulmonary bypass time, preoperative and postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction, mean gradient across the mitral valve, left ventricular diameter, left atrial size, atrial fibrillation, complications, mortality, and early patient outcome.

Lymphangiomas are localized multi-cystic malformations of the lymphatic and vascular system, primarily affecting the head and neck regions in children. Orbital lymphangiomas are not considered hamartomas because the orbit does not commonly display lymphatic vessels. In this case report, we describe a male patient who was 15 years old and presented to our medical facility with the primary complaints of having a bulging left eye, sudden chemosis of the lower conjunctiva, and pain in the left eye.
