Drug repurposing of well-established drugs to be targeted against lung cancer has been a promising strategy. Bosentan is an endothelin 1 (ET-1) blocker widely used in pulmonary hypertension. The current experiment intends to inspect the anticancer and antiangiogenic mechanism of bosentan targeting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) /extra-cellular Signal Regulated Kinase (ERK) /c-Jun/vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) carcinogenic pathway.

N-nitrosamine impurities have been detected in a vast variety of drug substances and drug products, showing concern for regulatory aspects. To meet the regulatory requirement for the concerned impurity, a sensitive analytical method capable of quantifying these impurities at a lower level with accuracy and precision is required. This article focuses on the development and validation of an analytical method for the simultaneous detection of nine nitrosamine impurities in a single method for nebivolol drug product using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry-atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (LC-MS/MS-APCI).

Background: High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has emerged as a highly sensitive and versatile analytical technique for quantifying antihypertensive drugs, such as Captopril (CAP). This study focused on the optimization and validation of an HPLC method for quantifying CAP in an in vitro hydrogel permeability test.
Objectives: The main objective of this study was to develop and validate an HPLC method for quantifying CAP in an in vitro hydrogel permeability test.

Hypertension is the predominant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and mortality. This study presents the first method for the simultaneous analysis of the co-administered antihypertensive drugs, Carvedilol (CAR) and Telmisartan (TEL) using a fast, highly sensitive, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective second derivative synchronous spectrofluorimetric approach. The fluorescence of CAR and TEL was quantified at 243 nm and 274.
