Bacterial infections and biofilm formation are significant challenges for medical implants. While titanium nanotube engineering improves biocompatibility, it cannot prevent bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation. Optimizing the biomaterial's surface chemistry is vital for its desired functioning in the biological environment.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to report a novel PRDM5 pathologic variant and ophthalmic findings in a family with 3 children diagnosed with brittle cornea syndrome (BCS). Histopathologic findings and surgical outcome of a child with BCS who underwent full-thickness corneal transplant are described.
Methods: This is an observational case report of a nonconsanguineous Laotian family with 3 siblings diagnosed with BCS.

There is a knowledge gap in the literature and a lack of opportunities for training in the expertise, particularly regarding color-matching techniques.
Objective: This article details a color-matching technique that is able to achieve life-like coloration in esthetic prosthesis.
