Background/objectives: The Internet of Things (IoT) technology connects objects to the internet, and its applications are increasingly used in healthcare to improve the quality of care. However, the use of IoT for the nutritional management of patients with chronic neurological cognitive impairment is still in development. This scoping review aims to describe the integration of IoT and its applications to support monitoring, interventions, and nutritional education for patients with chronic neurological cognitive impairment.

Devices that function within a network of interconnected systems and are equipped with sensors, software, and tools designed to collect and exchange data are widely known as the Internet of Things (IoT). In recent years, the rapid growth of IoT technology has sparked significant interest in leveraging these systems to enhance healthcare delivery across various medical fields, including fertility care and assisted reproductive technology. The subset of IoT devices applied within the healthcare sector is referred to as the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT).

Polarized photodetectors based on anisotropic two-dimensional (2D) materials display great potential applications in communications and optoelectronics. However, the existence of high dark current, low anisotropic ratio, and response speed limits their development. In this paper, a broadband polarization angle-dependent photodetector based on the PdSe/NbSe van der Waals (vdW) heterojunction has been constructed.

Understanding the factors that contribute to slope failures, such as soil saturation, is essential for mitigating rainfall-induced landslides. Cost-effective capacitive soil moisture sensors have the potential to be widely implemented across multiple sites for landslide early warning systems. However, these sensors need to be calibrated for specific applications to ensure high accuracy in readings.
