Avian pathogenic (APEC), a widespread bacterium, results in serious economic losses to the poultry industry annually, and it poses a threat to human health due to the contaminated retail poultry meat and eggs. Recently, it has been demonstrated that long non-coding RNAs played important roles in regulating gene expression and the animal immune response. This study aimed to systematically explore the function of the novel long intergenic non-coding transcript, lincRNA-73240, upon APEC infection. A bioinformatics analysis indicated that lincRNA-73240 had no coding ability and a relative stable secondary structure with multiple hairpin rings. Moreover, the RT-qPCR results showed that lincRNA-73240 was highly expressed in lungs, heart, liver, spleen, cecum tonsils, thymus, ileum, bursa of Fabricius, harderian gland, and muscles in comparison to the cerebrum. Additionally, overexpression of lincRNA-73240 can promote the expression levels of inflammation, apoptosis, autophagy, and oxidative stress-related genes, as well as the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), malondialdehyde (MDA), and nitric oxide (NO) upon APEC infection, which lead to cellular injury and apoptosis. These findings collectively establish a foundation for the study of the biological function of chicken lincRNA-73240 and provide a theoretical basis for further research on the molecular mechanisms of the chicken immune response.

The spiral generator, based on the principle of the electric field vector inversion, is capable of delivering repetitive high-voltage nanosecond pulses in the commercial portable pulsed x-ray source and gas switch trigger source. However, the spiral generator suffers from extremely low output efficiency, which significantly affects the compactness and accelerates the insulation film breakdown at electrode foil edges since the high charging voltage is required. A novel output efficiency improvement method for the spiral generator was proposed, implementing the permalloy film inside the passive layer to optimize internal voltage wave propagation processes during the pulser erection.

Purpose: A novel theranostic radiopharmaceutical targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), [Ga]Ga/[Lu]Lu-NYM032, was developed and its diagnostic and therapeutic potential in the treatment of prostate cancer (PCa) was preliminarily evaluated.
Methods: The diagnostic efficacy of the PET tracer [Ga]Ga-NYM032 was first evaluated in PSMA-positive xenograft-bearing models (LNCaP models), followed by evaluation in 10 PCa patients using [Ga]Ga-PSMA617 a comparator. Finally, the therapeutic potential of [Lu]Lu-NYM032 was evaluated in LNCaP models.

Addressing the high cost and long cycle associated with the multistep digital restoration process involving 3D printing technology, we proposed the 3D pen as an innovative strategy for rapid bone repair. Capitalizing on the low melting point characteristic of polycaprolactone (PCL), we introduced, for the first time, the novel concept of directly constructing scaffolds at bone defect sites using 3D pens. In this in vitro study, we meticulously evaluated both the mechanical and biological properties of 3D pen-printed PCL scaffolds with six distinct textures: unidirectional (UNI) (0°, 45°, 90°), bidirectional (BID) (-45°/45°, 0°/90°), and concentric (CON).

Neuromorphic and fully analog in-memory computations are promising for handling vast amounts of data with minimal energy consumption. We have synthesized and studied a series of homo-bimetallic silver purine MOFs (1D and 2D) having direct metal-metal bonding. The N7-derivatized purine ligands are designed to form bi-metallic complexes under ambient conditions, extending to a 1D or 2D metal-organic framework.
