In the present study, composites incorporating NiO-CoO (NC) and CuO-NiO-CoO (CNC) as active electrode materials were produced through the hydrothermal method and their performance was investigated systematically. The composition, formation, and nanocomposite structure of the fabricated material were characterized by XRD, FTIR, and UV-Vis. The FE-SEM analysis revealed the presence of rod and spherical mixed morphologies. The prepared NC and CNC samples were utilized as supercapacitor electrodes, demonstrating specific capacitances of 262 Fg at a current density of 1 Ag. Interestingly, the CNC composite displayed a notable long-term cyclic stability 84.9%, which was observed even after 5000 charge-discharge cycles. The exceptional electrochemical properties observed can be accredited to the harmonious effects of copper oxide addition, the hollow structure, and various metal oxides. This approach holds promise for the development of supercapacitor electrodes. These findings collectively indicate that the hydrothermally synthesized NC and CNC nanocomposites exhibit potential as high-performance electrodes for supercapacitor applications.

Hierarchical binder-free NiCoO@CuS composite electrodes have been successfully fabricated on a nickel foam surface using a facile hydrothermal method and directly used as a battery-type electrode material for supercapacitor applications. The surface morphological studies reveal that the composite electrode exhibited porous NiCoO nanograss-like structures with CuS nanostructures. The surface area of the composite is significantly enhanced (91.

Covalent triazine frameworks, with their ordered pores and crystalline structure that exhibit heteroatom impacts, demonstrate outstanding chemical stability, making them designable for charge storage applications. In this study, the TPT@BDA-COF was synthesized using 4',4''',4'''''-(1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-triyl)tris(([1,1'-biphenyl]-4-amine)) (TPT) and 4,4'-Oxydibenzaldehyde (BDA) following polycondensation process. Interestingly, these resulted in the fabrication of a well-connected, orderly porous crystalline structure, redox-active moiety, and high doping N (~13.

The development of supercapacitors is pivotal for sustainable energy storage solutions, necessitating the advancement of innovative electrode materials to supplant fossil-fuel-based energy sources. Zinc oxide (ZnO) is widely studied for use in supercapacitor electrodes because of its beneficial physicochemical properties, including excellent chemical and thermal stability, semiconducting characteristics, low cost, and environmentally friendly nature. In this study, ZnO nanorods were synthesized using a simple hydrothermal method and then combined with various Ni-based layered double hydroxides (LDHs) [NiM'-LDHs (M' = Mn, Co, and Fe)] to improve the electrochemical performance of the ZnO nanorods.
