A genome of IEGM 1362 was sequenced and annotated. This strain can transform monoterpene alcohol (-)-isopulegol with the formation of two novel pharmacologically promising metabolites. Nine genes encoding cytochrome P450, presumably involved in (-)-isopulegol transformation, were found in the genome of IEGM 1362. Primers and PCR conditions for their detection were selected. The obtained data can be used for the further investigation of genes encoding enzymes involved in monoterpene biotransformation.

A genome of IEGM 333 was sequenced and annotated. This bacterium had pronounced propane- and butane-oxidizing and cesium-accumulating activities. The obtained sequence could be used to reveal the genetic mechanisms of these activities and efficiently exploit the biotechnological potential of propanotrophic .

Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia. Signal-processing approaches are widely used for the analysis of intracardiac electrograms (iEGMs), which are collected during catheter ablation from patients with AF. In order to identify possible targets for ablation therapy, dominant frequency (DF) is widely used and incorporated in electroanatomical mapping systems.

We report a draft genome sequence of Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 746 isolated from oil-polluted soil from an oil-extracting enterprise, Udmurt Republic, Russia. This strain was able to degrade ketoprofen, a commonly used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Using the obtained sequence, putative genes encoding enzymes for ketoprofen degradation were revealed.
