: The number of patients diagnosed with Warthin tumors (WTs) has increased significantly in recent years. The association of obesity as measured by body mass index (BMI) with the incidence of WTs remains unclear. This retrospective study aims to compare the BMI and other clinical factors of patients diagnosed with WTs to those with other benign epithelial parotid gland tumors. : Over a 24-year period, 465 cases of benign epithelial parotid gland tumors were treated in our department. Of these, 155 (33.3%) were diagnosed as WTs. The results of the WT group were compared with those of another benign epithelial parotid gland tumor. : The mean BMI of WT patients was 27.3, which was significantly higher than in other benign tumors (25.52; < 0.001). Furthermore, statistically significant correlations were observed, including a higher incidence of WT in males ( < 0.001), in the elderly ( < 0.001), and in cigarette smokers ( < 0.001). Additionally, a higher prevalence of other head and neck cancers was confirmed in patients with WTs ( = 0.004); : This study supports the multifactorial etiology of WT development. Among these factors, smoking, advanced age, and obesity have been identified as factors associated with the development of WT, which might be due to chronic inflammation linked to obesity.

Malignant Brenner tumors (MBTs) are rare epithelial tumors of the ovary, most likely arising from benign and borderline Brenner tumors. MBTs may be misdiagnosed as other primary carcinomas or nonepithelial tumors of the ovary as well as metastatic carcinomas. Accurate diagnosis usually requires clinical-radiologic correlation, extensive sampling, and immunohistochemical studies.

Background: Finasteride and doxazosin are used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role in BPH, little is known about the growth inhibition and anti-fibrosis effects of doxazosin on the regulation of EMT and morphology in the prostate.
Objectives: The present study examined the effects of doxazosin on testosterone propionate (TP)-induced prostate growth in vivo and in vitro and its impact on the EMT and TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway.

HPV-associated dermatological diseases include benign lesions like cutaneous warts and external genital warts. In addition, HPV infection is associated with the development of epithelial skin cancers, in particular cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). In contrast to anogenital and oropharyngeal cancers caused by mucosal HPV types of genus alpha papillomavirus, cSCC-associated HPV types belong to the genus beta papillomavirus.

Salivary gland tumors (SGTs) are diverse lesions with varying morphological and clinical characteristics. Limited data exist on the distribution of SGTs in Saudi Arabia. We aimed to fill this gap by examining the distribution of SGTs across four tertiary hospitals in Riyadh.

Background: Craniopharyngiomas are epithelial tumors derived from the remnants of the Rathke pouch, while Rathke cleft cysts (RCC) are benign cystic lesions originating from the Rathke pouch itself [1]. Rathke cleft cysts comprise 10-15% of the hypophyseal tumors, while craniopharyngiomas are relatively rare, comprising only 2-5% of intracranial tumors [2]. Both located in the sellar and parasellar regions and share clinical symptoms including headache, visual disturbances, and endocrine dysfunction [3].
