A 23-year-old man with papillary thyroid cancer underwent radioiodine ( 131 I) treatment following total thyroidectomy and node dissection. Posttreatment 131 I SPECT/CT images revealed an additional focus of increased 131 I activity in the left adrenal gland, raising suspicion for possible adrenal metastasis. Ultimately, pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of an adrenal cyst.

Transarterial radioembolization (TARE) is a recommended locoregional strategy for intermediate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), whereas, the effect is insufficient to reverse the immunosuppression tumor microenvironment, and the overall benefits for patients remain to be improved. In this study, a multifunctional microsphere (MS) I-ICT/R848-MS is developed to propose an approach combined with TARE, icaritin (ICT) and immune modulator resiquimod (R848). ICT and iodine-131 (I) radiation can induce immunogenic cell death, which, in combination with R848, will boost dendritic cell (DC) maturation.

A pathogen strain responsible for sweet potato stem and foliage scab disease was isolated from sweet potato stems. Through a phylogenetic analysis based on the rDNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, combined with morphological methods, the isolated strain was identified as To comprehensively analyze the pathogenicity of the isolated strain from a genetic perspective, the whole-genome sequencing of HD-1 was performed using both the PacBio and Illumina platforms. The genome of HD-1 is about 26.

Nitrogenase is the enzyme primarily responsible for reducing atmospheric nitrogen to ammonia. There are three general forms of nitrogenase based on the metal ion present in the cofactor binding site, namely, molybdenum-dependent nitrogenases with the iron-molybdenum cofactor (FeMoco), the vanadium-dependent nitrogenases with FeVco, and the iron-only nitrogenases. It has been shown that the vanadium-dependent nitrogenases tend to have a lesser efficacy in reducing dinitrogen but a higher efficacy in binding and reducing carbon monoxide.
