Introduction: Many factors can influence a radiographer to leave the clinical profession. The retention of radiographers in the clinical workforce is an issue for many countries including Ireland. This study aimed to explore factors influencing radiographers in Ireland to leave the clinical profession so that changes can be considered to reduce attrition from clinical workforce.

Objective: Commercially available large language models such as Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (ChatGPT) cannot be applied to real patient data for data protection reasons. At the same time, de-identification of clinical unstructured data is a tedious and time-consuming task when done manually. Since transformer models can efficiently process and analyze large amounts of text data, our study aims to explore the impact of a large training dataset on the performance of this task.

Maximal isometric contraction time (MICT) is critical for most motor tasks and depends on skeletal muscle blood flow at < 40% of maximal voluntary strength (MVC). Whether limb work positions associated with reduced perfusion pressure and facilitated vessel compression affect MICT is largely unknown. In 14 healthy young men we therefore assessed bilateral handgrip MICT at 15, 20, 30, 40, and 70% of MVC in horizontal forearm positions of 0.

This study examines the merits and advantages of a captive solvent 'loop method' of radiolabeling four tracers with the carbon-11 radionuclide, producing the radioligands [C]ER-176, [C]MRB, [C]mHED, and [C]PiB. The 'loop method' is compared against the traditional reactor-based method of carbon-11 methylation in the course of synthesizing the same radiotracers on the identical automated platform.

Background: Our hospital is a designated emergency hospital and accepts many patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Previously, after receiving a direct call from emergency services to request acceptance of an OHCA patient, the emergency room (ER) chief nurse notified medical staff. However, this method delayed ER preparations, so a Code Blue system (CB) was introduced in which the pending arrival of an OHCA patient was broadcast throughout the hospital.
