This paper deals with a "digital twin" (DT) approach for processing, reprocessing, and scrapping (P/R/S) technology running on a modular production system (MPS) assisted by a mobile cyber-physical robotic system (MCPRS). The main hardware architecture consists of four line-shaped workstations (WSs), a wheeled mobile robot (WMR) equipped with a robotic manipulator (RM) and a mobile visual servoing system (MVSS) mounted on the end effector. The system architecture integrates a hierarchical control system where each of the four WSs, in the MPS, is controlled by a Programable Logic Controller (PLC), all connected via Profibus DP to a central PLC.

In the construction industry, ensuring the proper installation, retention, and dismantling of temporary structures, such as jack supports, is critical to maintaining safety and project timelines. However, inconsistencies between on-site data and construction documentation remain a significant challenge. To address this, this study proposes an integrated monitoring framework that combines computer vision-based object detection and document recognition techniques.

To automate the quality control of painted surfaces of heating devices, an automatic defect detection and classification system was developed by combining deflectometry and bright light-based illumination on the image acquisition, deep learning models for the classification of non-defective (OK) and defective (NOK) surfaces that fused dual-modal information at the decision level, and an online network for information dispatching and visualization. Three decision-making algorithms were tested for implementation: a new model built and trained from scratch and transfer learning of pre-trained networks (ResNet-50 and Inception V3). The results revealed that the two illumination modes employed widened the type of defects that could be identified with this system, while maintaining its lower computational complexity by performing multi-modal fusion at the decision level.

This paper aims to address the challenge of precise robotic grasping of molecular sieve drying bags during automated packaging by proposing a six-dimensional (6D) pose estimation method based on an red green blue-depth (RGB-D) camera. The method consists of three components: point cloud pre-segmentation, target extraction, and pose estimation. A minimum bounding box-based pre-segmentation method was designed to minimize the impact of packaging wrinkles and skirt curling.

Video instance segmentation, a key technology for intelligent sensing in visual perception, plays a key role in automated surveillance, robotics, and smart cities. These scenarios rely on real-time and efficient target-tracking capabilities for accurate perception and intelligent analysis of dynamic environments. However, traditional video instance segmentation methods face complex models, high computational overheads, and slow segmentation speeds in time-series feature extraction, especially in resource-constrained environments.
