Aims: To establish the feasibility of using ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to estimate total quantities of Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) used across different forms of cannabis, and to assess the predictive validity of THC estimates for predicting acute cannabis-related consequences.
Design: 14-day EMA using a smartphone application to assess cannabis use in real time.
Setting: Canada.
The use of assisted reproductive technology (ART) is growing, both to assist individuals with infertility and for fertility preservation. Individuals with cardiovascular disease (CVD), or risk factors for CVD, are increasingly using ART. Thus, knowing how to care for patients undergoing ART is important for the cardiovascular clinician.

We present a case of a young woman who presented with blurring of vision in her right eye, worsening on near work. Detailed ophthalmic and neurological evaluation was done, which revealed light near dissociation, vermiform iris movements, constriction to diluted pilocarpine with absent deep tendon reflexes. Laboratory investigation indicated mild iron deficiency anemia and reduced vitamin D3 level.

An adherent placenta is a life-threatening condition that impairs the mother's life owing to hemorrhagic shock and disseminated intravascular coagulation. Profound hemorrhage resulting from placental abruption is often managed using hysterectomy to preserve the mother's life, although the consequent loss of fertility can be devastating, particularly in younger women. Thus, strategies that facilitate fertility preservation while effectively controlling hemorrhage should be considered viable alternatives.
