The intention of this study was to profile the cohort from the Greek Registry for the prevalence of Familial Hypercholesterolemia (GRegistry-FH) by estimating the prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD), myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, dyslipidemia, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus (DM), pre-DM, smoking, abnormal thyroid function (ATF), and lipid values. The GRegistry-FH is a prospective study involving door-to-door interviews conducted by trained interviewers. Overall, 7704 individuals aged ≥18 years, randomly selected from all the regions of Greece, participated.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common malignancy that metastasizes to the thyroid; however, metastasis of RCC to a primary tumor of the thyroid is rare. The present study reports the case of RCC that had metastasized to the primary thyroid tumor; namely, a hyalinizing trabecular tumor (HTT). Notably, the RCC was resected 2 years prior.

The traditional approach, such as thyroid blind lobectomy, is the most frequent modality of treatment due to the possible unclear localization of the adenoma in the preoperative workup. Objective: This study aims to explore the relationship between thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb) levels and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), providing a theoretical basis for MAFLD prevention and treatment.
Methods: From June 2020 to May 2023, 534 T2DM patients were selected from the Endocrinology Department of Xiangyang Hospital affiliated with Wuhan University of Science and Technology. After applying exclusion criteria, 432 subjects were included.

Background: Obesity and insulin resistance (IR) may be risk factors for thyroid disease, but there is no clinical-based consensus on this topic. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the associations between the triglyceride-glucose index (TyG) and its derivatives and Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, and explore the relationships between the central obesity indicators and HT risk to provide a reliable basis for the early prevention of HT.
Methods: A total of 1071 T2DM patients aged ≥ 20 years were selected from a tertiary hospital in Tianjin, all of them had normal thyroid function (including free triiodothyronine, free thyroxine, total triiodothyronine, total thyroxine, and thyroid-stimulating hormone).
