Herein, we first isolated two MCR-9- and KPC-2-co-producing K. pneumoniae isolates. Notably, we observed a fusion event between the chromosome and plasmid, mediated by IS903B, in these two strains. This cointegration of chromosomes and plasmids introduces a new mode of transmission for antimicrobial resistance genes.

Background: The mechanisms underlying the complex relationship between autoimmune hypothyroidism and neurological disorders remain unclear. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of associations between alternative splicing, transcriptomics, and proteomics data and autoimmune hypothyroidism.
Methods: Splicing-Wide association studies (SWAS), proteome-wide association studies (PWAS), and transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS) were used to identify genes and proteins that regulate autoimmune hypothyroidism within the brain axis.

Introduction: Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) is the main predictive biomarker used to identify patients with NSCLC who are eligible for treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors. Despite its utility, the predictive capacity of PD-L1 is limited, necessitating the exploration of supplementary predictive biomarkers. In this report, we describe the prognostic value of / mutation status for overall survival (OS) in patients with NSCLC treated with first-line immunotherapy or combined chemoimmunotherapy.

We introduce a computational framework that integrates artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and high-performance computing to enable real-time steering of neutron scattering experiments using an edge-to-exascale workflow. Focusing on time-of-flight neutron event data at the Spallation Neutron Source, our approach combines temporal processing of four-dimensional neutron event data with predictive modeling for multidimensional crystallography. At the core of this workflow is the Temporal Fusion Transformer model, which provides voxel-level precision in predicting 3D neutron scattering patterns.

A defect in the fusion of Müllerian ducts results in the uterine malformation of the bicornuate uterus. The bicornuate uterus is an uncommon condition, and it is associated with adverse early pregnancy and antenatal events, such as recurrent miscarriages, preterm labor, and delivery. The bicornuate uterus has two symmetric uterine cavities that are fused caudally and have some degree of communication between the two cavities, usually at the uterine isthmus.

Background/aim: The sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is a frequently overlooked source of lower back pain (LBP). Recently, it has gained recognition as a significant pain generator, prompting increased interest in surgeries targeting this area. Traditionally, open SIJ fusion was used to stabilize pelvic and sacral fractures, and then it was adapted for use in pain management until the development of minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
