Advances in attosecond spectroscopy have enabled tracing and controlling the electron motion dynamics in matter, although they have yielded insufficient information about the electron dynamic in the space domain. Hence, ultrafast electron and x-ray imaging tools have been developed to image the ultrafast dynamics of matter in real time and space. The cutting-edge temporal resolution of these imaging tools is on the order of a few tens to a hundred femtoseconds, limiting imaging to the atomic dynamics and leaving electron motion imaging out of reach. Here, we obtained the attosecond temporal resolution in the transmission electron microscope, which we coined "attomicroscopy." We demonstrated this resolution by the attosecond diffraction measurements of the field-driven electron dynamics in graphene. This attosecond imaging tool would provide more insights into electron motion and directly connect it to the structural dynamics of matter in real-time and space domains, opening the door for long-anticipated real-life attosecond science applications in quantum physics, chemistry, and biology.

This study evaluated the effect of oral cavity environmental factors on the friction and wear of materials used in 3D-printed orthodontic devices. Commercial materials GR-10 (Pro3Dure) and NextDent SG (NextDent) were examined, with samples produced using ASIGA UV MAX and Phrozen Shuffle Lite 3D printers. Our tests included measurements of hardness, stiffness, elastic modulus, cyclic loading, scratch resistance, and tribological assessments in oscillatory motion.

Department of Conservative Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Dental Research Institute, Dental and Life Science Institute, Pusan National University, Yangsan, Korea.

Background: This study compared the torsional resistance, bending stiffness, and cyclic fatigue resistances of different heat-treated NiTi files for minimally invasive instrumentation.

Methods: TruNatomy (TN) and EndoRoad (ER) file systems were compared with ProTaper Gold (PG). Torsional load, distortion angle, and bending stiffness were assessed using a custom device AEndoS, and toughness was calculated using the torsional data.

Gold Nanorods Decorated by Conjugated Microporous Polymers for Infrared Responsive Cytostatic Drug Delivery.

Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e.V., Hohe Straße 6, 01069 Dresden, Germany.

Near-infrared (NIR) controlled drug delivery systems have drawn a lot of attention throughout the past few decades due to the deep penetration depth and comparatively minor side effects of the stimulus. In this study, we introduce an innovative approach for gastric cancer treatment by combining photothermal infrared-sensitive gold nanorods (AuNRs) with a conjugated microporous polymer (CMP) to create a drug delivery system tailored for transporting the cytostatic drug 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). CMPs are fully conjugated networks with high internal surface areas that can be precisely tailored to the adsorption and transport of active compounds through the right choice of chemical functionalities.

Magnetophononics and the chiral phonon misnomer.

The direct, ultrafast excitation of polar phonons with electromagnetic radiation is a potent strategy for controlling the properties of a wide range of materials, particularly in the context of influencing their magnetic behavior. Here, we show that, contrary to common perception, the origin of phonon-induced magnetic activity does not stem from the Maxwellian fields resulting from the motion of the ions themselves or the effect their motion exerts on the electron subsystem. Through the mechanism of electron-phonon coupling, a coherent state of circularly polarized phonons generates substantial non-Maxwellian fields that disrupt time-reversal symmetry, effectively emulating the behavior of authentic magnetic fields.

A dynamical rearrangement in the electronic structure of a molecule can be driven by different phenomena, including nuclear motion, electronic coherence or electron correlation. Recording such electronic dynamics and identifying its fate in an aqueous solution has remained a challenge. Here, we reveal the electronic dynamics induced by electronic relaxation through conical intersections in both isolated and solvated pyrazine molecules using X-ray spectroscopy.
