As batteries drive the transition to electrified transportation and energy systems, ensuring their quality, reliability, lifetime, and safety is crucial. While the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) is known to govern these performance characteristics, its dynamic nature makes understanding its nucleation, growth, and composition an ambitious, yet elusive aspiration. This work employs chalcogenide fibres embedded in negative electrode materials for operando Infra-red Fibre-optic Evanescent Wave Spectroscopy (IR-FEWS), combined with Multivariate Curve Resolution by Alternating Least Squares (MCR-ALS) algorithms for spectra analysis.

Background: Both glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) have been shown to improve glycated hemoglobin A1c (A1c) levels among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Recently, a US real-world study found statistically significant improvements in A1c levels among patients using GLP-1 RA and a CGM device, compared with a matched cohort receiving only GLP-1 RA.
Objectives: To assess the cost-effectiveness from a US payer perspective of initiating CGM (FreeStyle Libre Systems) in people living with T2DM using a GLP-1 RA therapy, compared with GLP-1 RA alone.

Facile phase selective synthesis of copper antimony sulphide (CAS) nanostructures is important because of their tunable photoconductive and electrochemical properties. In this study, off-stoichiometric famatinite phase CAS (CAS) quasi-spherical and quasi-hexagonal colloidal nanostructures (including nanosheets) of sizes, 2.4-18.

In contrast to microplastics, studying the interactions of nanoplastics (NPs) with primary producers such as marine microalgae remains challenging. This is attributed to the lack of adequate visualization methods that can distinguish NPs from autofluorescent biological material such as marine algae. The aim of this study was to develop a method for labeling and visualizing nonfluorescent micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) of various polymer types, shapes, and sizes, in interaction with marine primary producers, which are autofluorescent.

Life-time of the buildings is generally challenged by the act of nature. In-spite of the fact that the constructions provide minimum guarantee on quality and durability, certain mismatch in the composition of the materials, stress on the building, and chemical or physical imbalance of the materials, lead to surface crack. Cracks are also generated due to the shuffle of climatic conditions, which leads to the contraction and expansion of the building surfaces, and other damages.
