We experimentally investigate the undirected open microwave network Γ with internal absorption composed of two coupled directed halves, unidirectional networks Γ_{+} and Γ_{-}, corresponding to two possible directions of motion on their edges. The two-port scattering matrix of the network Γ is measured and the spectral statistics and the elastic enhancement factor of the network are evaluated. The comparison of the number of experimental resonances with the theoretical one predicted by the Weyl's law shows that within the experimental resolution the resonances are doubly degenerate. This conclusion was also corroborated by the numerical calculations. Though the network is characterized by the time-reversal symmetry, the missing level spectral statistics and the elastic enhancement factor are rather close to the Gaussian unitary ensemble predictions in random matrix theory. We used numerical calculations for the open nondissipative quantum graph possessing the same structure as the microwave network Γ to investigate the doublet structures in the spectrum which otherwise would not be experimentally resolved. We show that the doublet size distribution is close to the Poisson distribution.

The main purpose of this study is to prepare a melamine aniline formaldehyde foam, an MAF copolymer, with lower water sensitivity and non-flammability properties obtained by the condensation reaction of melamine, aniline, and formaldehyde. In addition, the preparation of MAFF composites with organoclay reinforcement was determined as a secondary target in order to obtain better mechanical strength, heat, and sound insulation properties. For the synthesis of foams, the microwave irradiation technique, which offers advantages such as faster reactions, high yields and purities, and reduced curing times, was used together with the heating technique and the effect of organoclay content on the structural and textural properties of foams and both heat insulation and mechanical stability was investigated.

A Wide-Angle and PON Fully Polarimetric Retrodirective Array at the X Band.

Micromachines (Basel)

November 2024

Key Laboratory of Antennas and Microwave Technology, Xidian University, Xi'an 710071, China.

A new type of fully polarimetric retrodirective array (RDA) using a PON-type structure is proposed in this paper. The fully polarimetric property is the result of the proposed phase conjugation circuits, which perform phase conjugation processing on the x, y, and z polarization electric field components of the incident wave when combined with a tri-polarized antenna array. It enables the retrodirective array to receive and retransmit an arbitrary polarized incident wave.

A data transmission delay compensation algorithm for an interactive communication network of an offshore oil field operation scene in severe weather is proposed. To solve the problem of unstable microwave signals and a large amount of noise in the communication network caused by bad weather, the communication network signal denoising method based on Lagrange multiplier symplectic singular value mode decomposition is adopted, and the communication network data denoising process is realized through five steps; phase space reconstruction, symplectic geometric similarity transformation, grouping, diagonal averaging, and adaptive reconstruction. Simultaneously, the weak communication signal is compensated after being captured, that is, the characteristics of the weak signal are enhanced.
