Unlabelled: Earlobe clefts have been the major concern for aesthetic repair in the present situation. The advent of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for enhancement of healing has never been treated for cleft earlobe repair. This study aims to compare and evaluate the efficacy of wound healing with and without platelet-rich plasma injection in bilateral earlobe cleft lobe repair.

Enhancing SLAM algorithm with Top-K optimization and semantic descriptors.

Sci Rep

March 2025

College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, Shenyang, 110000, China.

To address the computational challenges faced by edge devices using deep learning to process LiDAR point cloud data, this paper proposes a SLAM algorithm incorporating Top-K optimization to generate semantic descriptors and global semantic map for laser data efficiently. This approach aims to reduce computational complexity while enhancing processing speed. The algorithm extracts semantic information from LiDAR data, constructs two-dimensional semantic descriptors, and improves the robot's semantic understanding of its surrounding environment.

Insect communities are declining globally as a result of multiple, interacting drivers, including habitat loss due to agricultural intensification and urbanization. Biodiversity losses necessitate immediate conservation efforts, including the creation of new habitats, but it can be challenging to find suitable spaces in which to implement such mitigation actions. However, energy infrastructure, including solar farms and rights-of-way, presents opportunities to enhance insect conservation efforts by adding to the existing patchwork of habitats across working landscapes.

In response to DNA-damaging physical or chemical agents, the DNA damage repair (DDR) pathway is activated in eukaryotic cells. In the radiobiology field, it is important to assess the DNA damage effect of a certain irradiation regime on cancer cells and compare it to the effect on non-transformed cells exposed to identical conditions. The first step in the DNA repair mechanism consists of the attachment of proteins such as the phosphorylated histone γ-H2AX (p-γ-H2AX) to DNA double-strand breaks (DSB) in the nucleus, which leads to the formation of repairing foci.

2025 AAHA Referral Guidelines.

J Am Anim Hosp Assoc

March 2025

Collaborative Care Coalition, Chicago, Illinois (R.A.V.P.).

Across the many types of specialty practitioners and hospitals, the requirements for veterinary patient referrals vary from one-time consultations to long-term case oversight and management. These guidelines propose a structured and technology-based approach to optimize the referral process for patients, clients, and veterinary teams. They emphasize a family-centered health care approach that keeps the focus on patients and clients through consistent collaboration between primary and specialty care teams.
