The development of durable and eco-friendly coatings with excellent adhesion and remarkable surface properties remains a critical pursuit in various industries. This study introduces an innovative methodology for the synthesis of glycidyl methacrylate--fluorinated methacrylate (P(GMA--FMA)) random copolymers with variable fluorine contents derived from GMA and FMA monomers. The copolymerization of these constituents yields coatings with enhanced durability and unique surface characteristics. Particularly, the incorporation of FMA introduces novel surface functionalities, leading to high water and oil repellent properties. The copolymer-coated surfaces exhibited impressive water contact angles ranging from 105° to 125° and decane contact angles ranging from 50° to 85°. The wettability of the P(GMA--FMA) coatings demonstrated a strong dependence on the fluorine content in the copolymers, with higher fluorine content resulting in superior water and oil repellency. Through a comprehensive characterization, we demonstrate the exceptional adhesion and self-cleaning capabilities of the fabricated films. Notably, the self-cleaning efficacy of P(GMA--FMA)-coated surfaces persists even following a prolonged duration of 6 months. Furthermore, our investigation reveals the influence of copolymer composition on surface wettability and contact angle hysteresis, providing valuable insights for tailoring coating properties. Overall, the novelty of this study lies in the synthesis of P(GMA--FMA) copolymer coatings with superior adhesion and self-cleaning properties. These advancements present promising applications in various fields, including electronics, textiles, and medical supplies, where such durable and functional coatings can significantly enhance product performance and longevity.

During maritime operations, extreme events such as explosions, grounding, and seal failures can cause water ingress into lubricant compartments, forming oil-water emulsions that significantly affect the lubrication performance of ship stern bearings. Existing studies mainly focus on low water content, with limited exploration of the impact of high water content on lubrication performance. To address this gap, viscosity measurements of oil-water mixtures were conducted, and an emulsification viscosity equation applicable to varying water contents was derived.

Irreducible water saturation is an important factor affecting the development effect of low permeability reservoir. Using the self-developed ultrasonic generator, kerosene was used as simulated oil, the natural low-permeability siltstone cores with different physical properties in Zhongyuan Oilfield were selected for indoor oil displacement experiment, and the effect of ultrasonic action on the saturation of irreducible water in low-permeability reservoirs was evaluated. It was found that ultrasound can further reduce the saturation of irreducible water on the basis of oil flooding.

Sesamolin possesses limited aqueous solubility, a drawback for biological activity study in cancer cell models. This study aimed to enhance sesamolin's ability to fight cancer, as it is a bioactive compound with low water solubility found in sesame. We developed different Pickering emulsion delivery systems and tested their anticancer effects on various cancer cell types.

Tannic acid (TA) has attracted the attention of researchers as a promising organic ligand capable of forming metal-organic coordination networks with various metal ions at interfaces to impact surface properties. In this study, we innovatively reported a self-assembly method for surface decoration by depositing TA/Fe coatings on the surface of desalted duck egg white nanoparticles (DEWN), further studying the oil/water interfacial properties of the modified particles. The results showed that the ratio and concentration of TA to Fe could modulate interfacial properties.
