Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) Type III (MPS III) or Sanfilippo syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive inherited metabolic disorder. This disorder is responsible for lysosomal storage disorder at the cellular aspect. Due to lysosomal enzyme perturbance leading to the alteration of macromolecule metabolisms, this cellular perturbance causes multiple severe systemic and mental outcomes.

Computational analysis of infant movement has significant potential to reveal markers of developmental health. We report two studies employing dynamic analyses of motor kinematics and motor behaviours, which characterise movement at two levels, in 9-month-old infants. We investigate the effect of preterm birth (< 33 weeks of gestation) and the effect of changing emotional and social-interactive contexts in the still-face paradigm.

Introduction: Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) plays a crucial role in lipid homeostasis, predominantly expressed in astrocytes and to a lesser extent in microglia within the central nervous system (CNS). While the allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's disease (AD), its precise role in AD pathogenesis remains elusive. -knockout (-ko) mice, mice expressing human , and human carriers exhibit similar deficits in lipid metabolism, cognitive and behavioral functions, and neurodegeneration.

Prompt diagnosis through blood culture and targeted antibiotic therapy ensured recovery, emphasizing the need for increased awareness, enhanced diagnostic tools, and active monitoring of emerging pathogens in tropical and resource-limited regions. The early initiation of binge-drinking and biological sex are critical risk factors for the development of affective disturbances and cognitive decline, as well as neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's disease. Further, a history of excessive alcohol consumption alters normal age-related changes in the pattern of protein expression in the brain, which may relate to an acceleration of cognitive decline. Here, we aimed to disentangle the interrelation between a history of binge-drinking during adolescence, biological sex and normal aging on the manifestation of negative affect, cognitive decline and associated biochemical pathology.
