We present a case of arterial bypass for extensive stenosis of the ulnar artery and superficial palmar arch. The ulnar artery and the superficial palmar arch were bypassed using the great saphenous vein. Postoperatively, blood flow to the affected fingers gradually improved and the pain disappeared.

Purpose: The digital artery perforator (DAP) flap is used to repair finger pulp defects as it can help preserve the digital artery. The standard DAP flap donor site is dorsal or lateral; however, the color of the flap typically poorly matches that of the finger pulp. The purpose of this study is to report two types of novel palmar DAP flaps.

Background: Switching to biosimilars is an effective and safe practice in treating inflammatory diseases; however, a nocebo effect may arise as a result of the way in which the switch is communicated to a given patient.
Objective: We aimed to design a gaming-based digital educational tool (including a discussion algorithm) to support the training of health care professionals in efficiently communicating the switch to biosimilars, minimizing the generation of a nocebo effect and thus serving as an implementation strategy for the recommended switch.
Methods: The tool was developed based on interviews and focus group discussions with key stakeholders, both patients and health care professionals.

Background: Local flaps are commonly used for reconstruction of digital soft-tissue defects. There remains a paucity of options available for small finger volar and dorsal soft-tissue defects distal to the proximal interphalangeal joint. The purpose of this study was to analyze perforators along the hypothenar palmar region arising from the artery of the ulnar side of the small finger as it comes off the superficial palmar arch for consistency and potential to be used for perforator-based flap reconstruction of soft-tissue defects and joint coverage of the small finger.

Background: Traditional radiographic measurements of distal phalanx (Pd) displacement based on the outer hoof wall are not useful for diagnosis of acute laminitis.
Objectives: We hypothesised that the distance between the inner hoof wall and Pd ('lamellar lucent zone'; LLZ) measured on lateromedial digital radiographs would be increased in horses with acute and subacute laminitis compared with healthy horses.
Study Design: Retrospective cohort study and in vivo experimental study.
