Sulfite oxidation is critical for the stable operation of desulfurization process and the treatment & recovery of desulfurization by-products. The Fe and Co oxides modified super hydrophobic layer was prepared on tubular ceramic membranes using hydrothermal synthesis and surface modifications to realize the combination of the membrane catalysis and membrane aeration. These two oxides were approximately two-layer distributed on the membrane surface, among which the FeO located in the bottom layer and the CoO located in the upper layer. The catalytic rate of the bifunctional membrane was about 5.8 times than that of the original ceramic membrane, which was decreased with the increasing of Fe/Co ratio and declined after an initial rise with the increase of urea and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide. The conjoint effect of Fe and Co could improve the catalytic performance and reduce the dissolution loss of catalyzer. The oxidation rate tended to be constant after a 15 % decrease in 7 times experiments.

Plastic waste conversion into valuable chemicals is a promising alternative to landfill or incineration. In particular, the chemical upcycling of polybutadiene rubber (PBR) could provide a renewable route towards highly desirable α,ω-dienes with varying chain lengths, which can find ample industrial application. While previous research has shown that the treatment of polybutadiene with a consecutive hydrogenation and ethenolysis reaction can afford long-chain α,ω-dienes, achieving precise control over the product chain length remains an important bottleneck.

Developing biomass-based adsorbents with superior uranium uptake performance is imperative yet challenging for the sustainable development of nuclear energy. Herein, we constructed a novel lignin-based adsorbent (DLP@PAO) with dual functional groups and enhanced structural stability via ingenious integration of lignin and polyamidoxime. The two-step modification strategy was innovatively employed to phosphorylate lignin, significantly enhancing the phosphorylation efficiency and achieving an over eight-fold increase in the U(VI) uptake capacity of lignin.

Pyroptosis is a key mode of programmed cell death during the early stages following acute myocardial infarction (AMI), driving immune-inflammatory responses. Cardiac resident macrophages (CRMs) are the primary mediators of cardiac immunity, and they serve a dual role through their shaping of both myocardial injury and post-AMI myocardial repair. To appropriately regulate AMI-associated inflammation, HM4oRL is herein designed, an innovative bifunctional therapeutic nanoplatform capable of inhibiting cardiomyocyte pyroptosis while reprogramming inflammatory signaling.

Backgroud: Biomimetic nanoplatforms based on membrane coating strategies have received increasing attention in the field of medical research. However, it cannot perform biomedical imaging screening, which is essential for real-time identification. As a rich source of new drug discovery, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has made important contributions to the treatment of many diseases.

Enhancing the catalytic performance and durability of M-N─C catalyst is crucial for the efficient operation of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) and Zn-Air batteries (ZABs). Herein, an approach is developed for the in situ fabrication of a MOFs-derived porous carbon material, co-loaded with Co nanoparticles (NPs) and Co-N sites and integrated onto Fe-doped carbon nanotubes (CNTs), named Co-NC/Fe-NCNTs. Incorporating polymer-wrapped CNTs improves MOFs dispersion annealing at high temperature, which amplifies the three-phase boundary (TPB) by generating much more mesopores and exposing additional active sites within the catalysts layer.
