Aim: The study aimed to evaluate and compare the antimicrobial efficacy of (0.5%) mouthwash, (0.5%) mouthwash, and 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash against
Materials And Methods: A total of 60 samples of the five mouthwash preparations were prepared to check for their antimicrobial efficacy. The zone of inhibition (ZOI) against was measured as a diameter in mm, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of mouthwash preparations was measured as μg/mL. All the groups were compared statistically using the Mann-Whitney test and the Kruskal-Wallis test.
Results: The highest ZOI was observed in group V chlorhexidine gluconate [mean: 20.8, standard deviation (SD): 0.58], followed by group III (alcohol-free) (mean: 15.5, SD: 0.67), group IV (alcohol-based) (mean: 14.08, SD: 0.66), and group II (alcohol-based) (mean: 13.2, SD: 0.45). The least ZOI was observed in group I (alcohol-free) (mean: 10.7, SD: 0.45). This difference was statistically significant ( < 0.01). The MIC was similar in all the groups ( = 0.13).
Conclusion: Chlorhexidine gluconate 0.12% mouthwash showed the best antimicrobial action; however, mouthwash showed potential against mouthwash exhibited limited antimicrobial activity.

Background: Although surface finishing processes are effective against Streptococcus mutans biofilm, the mechanism of action of saliva with different acidity values has not been studied in detail. This study aims to produce four different all-ceramic materials in a single session with CAD/CAM devices and apply two different surface finishing processes, glazing and polishing, and then determine the retention of Streptococcus mutants on the surfaces of the materials in saliva with varying levels of acidity.
Methods: Zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (Vita Suprinity, Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Saöckingen, Germany), monochromatic feldspar (Vitablocs Mark 2, Vita Zahnfabrik, Bad Saöckingen, Germany), leucite glass ceramic (IPS Empress CAD, Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein), and monolithic zirconia (Incoris TZI (Cerec) Sirona, Germany) were used in the study.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of chlorhexidine (CHX) cavity disinfectant on interfacial microleakage and micro-tensile bond strength (μTBS) of a universal adhesive bonded to dentin in both self-etch (SE) and etch-and-rinse (ER) modes.
Methods: Class I cavities were prepared in the coronal dentin of extracted human teeth and assigned to two etching modes (SE or ER), then subdivided by disinfection with or without CHX (n = 5). Cavities were restored using Single Bond Universal Adhesive and Filtek Z350 XT composite.
