Introduction: Aluminum phosphide is a cheap and commonly used rodenticide that is also an effective solid fumigant and frequently used for grain preservation. The pill contains around 44% inert elements (ammonium carbonate) to avoid disintegration of the tablet, while the rest (about 56%) is aluminum phosphide. Because it is freely available on the market, it is one of the commonly used agents for self-poisoning in different parts of the developing world.

Background: Concurrent ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and acute ischemic stroke (AIS) are extremely rare, and their management remains perplexing due to the absence of high-quality evidence and limited resources. For the first time, we report a rare, preventable, and suboptimally managed case of concurrent AIS and STEMI in a patient with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) who received cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (CHOP) chemotherapy.
Case Presentation: A 59-year-old postmenopausal woman of African origin with a background history of type 2 diabetes mellitus presented to the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute with sudden onset of left-sided weakness and typical ischemic chest pain for 3 days.

Background: Naphthalene is an aromatic hydrocarbon that potentially produces methemoglobinaemia but rarely causes hemolysis, especially in children with underlying glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Although ingestion of a single moth ball by an older child may not be life threatening, it can be fatal if ingested by a toddler.
Case Presentation: A 2-year-old Singhalese boy developed acute severe hemolysis and methemoglobinaemia following ingestion of a mothball.

Background: This case highlights the management of concomitant acute myocarditis and congenital long QT syndrome with electrical storm and incessant Torsade de Pointes.
Case Presentation: An 18 years-old Southeast Asian para 1 abortus 0 (P1A0) postpartum patient with cesarean section owing to severe preeclampsia, acute lymphocytic myocarditis, and prolonged QT interval owing to long QT syndrome. She has incessant Torsade de Pointes treated with beta-blocker, lidocaine, overdrive pacing with a temporary transvenous pacemaker, left cardiac sympathetic denervation per video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator implantation.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM), also known as stress-induced cardiomyopathy or "broken heart syndrome," is a transient cardiac condition that often mimics acute coronary syndrome (ACS) but lacks obstructive coronary artery disease. TCM primarily affects postmenopausal women and is often precipitated by physical or emotional stress. This report presents a case of TCM in a 65-year-old woman, emphasizing the diagnostic challenges and clinical management required to distinguish TCM from ACS.
