Infants with Pierre Robin sequence present with difficult airways due to their triad of micrognathia, glossoptosis, and cleft palate. This creates a difficult airway to intubate and ventilate. Typically, with various interventions and the growth of the mandible with age, the airway gets easier to manage into adulthood. Surgeries, such as coronoidectomy, have been found to ease the difficulty of intubation in pediatric patients, but the results are not always permanent. We present an adult with Pierre Robin sequence who continued to have a difficult airway, suggesting that airway management does not necessarily improve with age.

The aim of this study was to explore the factors influencing the quality of new bone formation after distraction osteogenesis in children with Pierre Robin sequence (PRS). Using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), bone density relative grayscale values of the region of new bone formation before and 3 to 4 months after mandibular distraction osteogenesis (MDO) were measured in 80 children with PRS, and correlation analysis was conducted with the potential clinical influencing factors of the children. CBCT reconstruction of the panoramic film showed that the new bone formation was good at 3 to 4 months after MDO.

This article describes the development, since 2015 and in routine care, of supportive postcancer care comprising a multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme (MRP) based on exercise for patients with early breast cancer.

Objective: To estimate the global prevalence of neurodevelopmental impairment in children with Robin sequence (RS) at one year or more of age.
Study Design: Electronic databases such as PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, APA PsycInfo, Emcare, MedNAR and Cochrane library were searched systematically from inception to 31st May 2024. Studies reporting on the neurodevelopmental (global, cognitive, or motor) outcomes in children with RS were included.
We present a case of an infant patient with Robin sequence (Pierre Robin sequence; PRS) who underwent general anesthesia for a glossopexy procedure. Pediatric patients with PRS are prone to upper airway obstruction during general anesthesia induction and intubation difficulties due to micrognathia and glossoptosis. In this case, we facilitated mask ventilation by inserting a nasopharyngeal airway before induction and successfully intubated the patient using a 2-person technique that combined the use of a video laryngoscope and a flexible fiber-optic scope.
