AI Article Synopsis

  • Localized breast amyloidosis is usually discovered unexpectedly during mammograms or ultrasounds, as it can produce calcified deposits that look like cancer.
  • Even though it's uncommon, breast amyloidosis is an important factor to consider when older women have abnormal mammogram results.
  • Identifying breast amyloidosis can help differentiate it from actual malignancies, which is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
