Article Abstract

In the title salt, [ZnCl(CHN)]NO, the central Zn atom of the complex cation is coordinated in a square-pyramidal arrangement by four nitro-gen atoms from cyclen (1,4,7,10-tetra-aza-cyclo-dodeca-ne) in the basal plane and one chlorido ligand in the apical position. The anthracene group attached to cyclen contributes to the crystal packing through inter-molecular T-shaped π inter-actions. Additionally, the nitrate anion participates in inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with cyclen.

Therapeutic Effects of GDF6-Overexpressing Mesenchymal Stem Cells through Upregulation of the GDF15/SIRT1 Axis in Age-Related Hearing Loss.

Front Biosci (Landmark Ed)

January 2025

Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Second Affiliated Hospital, Jiangxi Medical College, Nanchang University, 330006 Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.

Background: It has been reported the therapeutic effects of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on hearing loss. This study explored the therapeutic effects of growth differentiation factor 6 (GDF6) overexpression-induced MSCs (MSCs-GDF6) on age-related hearing loss (ARHL) and its underlying mechanisms.

Methods: Reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and western blotting were used to evaluate gene expression.

The development of resistance to traditional antifungal therapies has necessitated the exploration of alternative treatment strategies to effectively manage fungal infections, particularly those induced by (). This research investigates the possibility of integrating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with Terbinafine to improve antifungal effectiveness. Terbinafine, while potent, faces challenges with specific fungal strains, highlighting the need for strategies to enhance its treatment efficacy.

Optimizing nitrogen (N) sources has the potential to improve wheat tillering, nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), and grain yield, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study hypothesizes that combining specific N sources can increase zeatin riboside + zeatin (ZR + ZT) content in tiller nodes and maintain a higher ZR + ZT/gibberellin A7 (GA) ratio, thereby promoting tiller development, enhancing NUE, and increasing yield. The effects of N source treatments on two wheat cultivars, the multi-spike Shannong 28 (SN28) and the large-spike Tainong 18 (TN18), were investigated.

Nitrogen (N) is an essential determinant of strawberry growth and productivity. However, plants exhibit varying preferences for sources of nitrogen, which ultimately affects its use efficiency. Thus, it is imperative to determine the preferred N source for the optimization of indoor strawberry production.

The incorporation of rice straw (RS) and Chinese milk vetch (CMV) with reduced chemical fertilizers (CFs) is a viable solution to reduce the dependency on CF. However, limited research has been conducted to investigate the impact of CMV and RS with reduced CF on rice production. A field trial was conducted from 2018 to 2021 with six treatments: CK (no fertilizer), F100 (100% NPK fertilizer (CF)), MSF100 (100% CF+CMV and RS incorporation), MSF80 (80% CF+CMV+RS), MSF60 (60% CF+CMV+RS), and MSF40 (40% CF+CMV+RS).
