We present a genome assembly from an individual male (the Downland Villa bee-fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Bombyliidae). The genome sequence is 412.6 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 22.43 kilobases in length.
